A bit about pastels:
If you are unfamiliar with pastels you may appreciate to know that pastels have survived for centuries. Some famous artists who used pastels and who's work is still around today are Leonardo da Vinci, Maurice Quentin de La Tour, Rosalba Carriera, Edgar Degas and Mary Cassatt. And that's only naming a few.
