Portrait of a Crow SOLD

“Portrait of a Crow”

8″ x 10″ acrylic painting (unframed stretched canvas, painted sides)

I was so happy with the result of the last crow painting that I decided to paint a second. I may even paint more since this is my favorite bird. I tried to keep my strokes loose on this focusing on shapes and color.

Still not being exactly sure what the difference is between crows and ravens I finally looked it up. This article on the Audubon page simplifies it. Hmm  . . this could be a raven.

I’ve been working on trying to have a paintings colors match the pc, phone and tablet colors. It’s been a difficult process which I’m still working on with a bit of research. One thing I’m sure of is that the painting always looks better in person.

    Hi Ria
Vame by yiur blog. Nice raven! But I read this would be a pastel (drawing). So I figured you draw on the canvas with pastel crayons? Asking becsuse I thought that canvas would be to rough?

It’s acrylic. Thanks for the comment. I corrected it ;-)
