I was commissioned to design a custom wedding invitation a few months ago and I’m finally able to share it since they’ve already been mailed out!
The future bride wanted it painted in watercolor with a Martha’s Vineyard theme since that’s where the wedding is being held. She wanted the flowers to reflect the ones in her bouquet. The biggest challenge was painting the white flowers on the white background. I learned a lot through the process.
In hindsight, I would have painted this much larger for ease of painting the flowers.
The lobster was painted for the detail card insert. This was the most relaxing to paint since it was freestyle.
We wanted to keep the colors consistent with the invitation and we think it works really well!
