“Green Pear acrylic painting”
8″ x 8″ x 1″ still life acrylic painting (unframed)
painted on a cradled wood board
This is the second in a series of 8″ x 8″ still life acrylic paintings. I had quite a bit of paint left over on my palette so I decided to loosely brush a background onto a bunch of panels I had. Not until I had one of my looking around the studio wondering what to do next moments did I decide to start this series. I’ve enjoyed painting food art for many years and continue to. My favorite fruit to paint is the pear. They have such great shapes.
If you’re a beginner painter it’s the perfect subject for practicing values and shading.
