“Orange Lily”

The orange lily was a cutting from my garden. They grow wild in my yard which is a huge bonus for me since I didn’t inherent the green thumb that my father had. The actual painting is just a tad brighter than the scan.
Sometimes my scanner doesn’t pick up colors as accurately I wish it did.
Here’s a shot I took with my phone’s camera. The colors of the flower are accurate but the background is not. The actual background is a light blueish green closer to the photo above.
I think I’ll be looking into a new scanner.
This may be the start of a new flower series.
